As a military wife, battling loneliness sometimes feels like a full-time job. Now, don’t get me wrong– I adore my Beloved husband and certainly support his mission. But when he is away doing said mission, grown-up conversation suddenly becomes a hot commodity.

If I am not careful, the cold fingers of loneliness creep into my heart… And Satan goes to town. Satan LOVES it when we are isolated, away from other believers and under the impression we are legitimately alone.  [Read more…]

Hidden Ah-Ha’s: That’s a Wrap!

I really have no desire to be a movie director or live in Hollywood. Really, I don’t.

But if I did, I think the coolest things about it (in addition to talking through one of those big megaphones… wait, they don’t use those anymore, do they?) would be after months filming, reaching that moment when you are done.

As the cast and crew looks at each other with relief and nostalgia, the director starts to clap and says with tears in her eyes, “That’s a wrap!” [Read more…]

Series Intro: Bible Verses ~ Hidden Ah-Ha’s!

I love AH-HA moments.

I have them randomly throughout my day. Some happen when I am messing with my blog online (oh, THAT’S how that widget works…) Or sometimes when I’m doing dishes (Seriously, just a couple of weeks ago I discovered that the bottom of our bottle brush comes off to wash the bottle nipple… It only took me 4 months to figure that out. DUH.)

But most often, my greatest AH-HA moments happen when I am at church or immersed in His Word. [Read more…]
