Reasons for Milspouse Pride (Pt 1: Army Wife Network)

I have a confession to make. (You didn’t know this post was going to get so juicy so fast, huh? You are welcome.)

Sometimes, in the day-to-day shenanigans that IS army wife life, I forget about the pride the comes with this calling.

And I don’t mean pride like, “Look at me, I am so awesome” pride… More like, “Wow. My spouse is the bomb dot com. This life can be hard but I sure am PROUD of what he is doing for our country/world/family.”

Maybe, hypothetically, kinda-sorta you find yourself sometimes forgetting the pride-part of this milspouse ride.

So I have engaged one of our most powerful resources… Our Army Wife Network Fans… to help me compile a list of “Reasons for Milspouse Pride.”

I asked our faithful followers to complete this sentence:

I am a proud military spouse when…

And boy-oh-boy, did they deliver! (I don’t know WHY I was so surprised. Our milspouse community also rocked my world when we compiled our other lists of Motivational Milspouse Mottos Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, as well as “You Might Be A Milspouse if” Part 1 and Part 2. )

Check out our first installment of these incredibly moving and genuine ways that WE are proud to be  military spouses when… (And stay tuned for additional posts on this very topic on the first of next couple months too.)

“I am proud to be a military spouse when the local non-military town elementary schools goes bananas for a little girl whose daddy just came home! Bring on the tears and the pride in what our families do and go through. Awesome shout out to this elementary school for making homecoming day a  most special day for this little third grader.” ~Tiffany B.
