Today’s Prompt: Crowd
And GO!
***
My personality makes me love to work a crowd. I love people. Being around people recharges my heart, makes me laugh, and motivates me to do more at a higher level.
In ministry, there is quite the crowd. Always someone or someone seeking counsel or encouragement, asking for prayer or guidance.
I love it. I love helping people and seeing God work through them.
But I also know that the crowds in our life can get pretty loud sometimes… And if I am not careful, it pulls me away from the One that I am here for.
Jesus understands our challenges. Throughout the gospels, we find this “crowd” following Him. Some were believers and supporters, some were curious about this dude who turned water into wine at a wedding (and who wouldn’t want a piece of that!?!), some were bored and wanted to be entertained and others were waiting to trap him.
Yet, He still served His crowd on behalf of the Father.
In order to do so, He knew the importance of getting away for some alone time. To have a few sweet moments with His Daddy, also to recharge and refocus on the mission at hand.
Our loud crowd can be a blessing. But peaceful, quiet time with The Lord make our service to the crowd that much more effective and rewarding.
Take some time today to decide where you are living within your loud crowd… Is life TOO crowded and do you feel drowned out by the noise? Or is there a gentle balance of replenishment and service that comes from our Primary Source?
Consider it… and ask God to make the changes so that you can not only serve but enjoy your loud crowd, no matter where you are or what you have been joyfully called to do.
STOP

Bless you, dear friends! Thanks for stopping by… I always love to hear from you. Please leave a comment if you feel so led.
Oh. And thanks for being part of my “crowd.” I love you dearly for it!
