2016 has been… well… interesting.
That is really the best word I can come up with to describe it, at least for our family. It hasn’t been bad, it hasn’t been great, it’s just been… Interesting. Or maybe intense. You know. Like camping. (Get it? In-tents? Pretty sure I’ve used that pun/joke on here before.)
There’s been some hard moments, some joyous moments, and A LOT of moments that involved initial confusion then subsequent personal growth.

What is your most memorable moment of anticipation?
You know, those times when you were so excited that you literally couldn’t sleep? Or when you would think about an upcoming experience and your heart would race?

When I first started blogging nearly four years ago (WHAT?!? 4 years already!?) I really didn’t know what I was getting into.
I thought I would just be sharing a few Jesus-y thoughts and encouraging others.
Which I do. And for that I am grateful. But this online ministry gig is so much more.
See friends, it is a ministry to myself.

It’s sure been a year. Whew. I think I need a nap. Or maybe some caffeine.
While it has been a busy year full of changes, it has also been a blessed year. Not just in circumstances (we have had our fair share of challenges) but really in heart growth toward Jesus.

Can you believe that 2013 is already more than half over? (Or if you are more of a glass-half-full kinda person… We have another half a year to go in 2013!)
No matter how you say it… It’s been a wild ride.

Believe it or not, one word can make quite a difference in a conversation, in a blog post, and yes, even in a life.
I participated in the “One Word” challenge for the first time in 2012. For the entire 12 months, God helped me to learn, grow and be shaped around the word “Dependence.”
Now that 2013 is upon us (Happy New Year, by the way!) it is time for a new challenge.
