It’s official.
Being sick is pretty much top ten most un-fun things EVER. Hence the reason why I haven’t been able to blog for a week. I’ve been battling bronchitis and pneumonia. (Both of which came out of NOWHERE, I might add.) For several days it was all I could do to make it to the kitchen back to the couch, let alone stare at a computer trying to string words together to form complete sentences. Fortunately, I have learned (often the hard way) that I HAVE to take a break and rest… or you might be reading this post as it would be written from my husband beside my hospital bed. Uh, no thanks.
But I’m back. Ish. Still crazy tired and probably will be for a while, but relatively coherent again. Thanks to those of you who prayed for me… and thanks for understanding that I needed time to heal.
During my time of sleeping/coughing/napping, I realized that Wednesday, August 1 was my blog’s ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY. Holy cow. A whole year of writing nearly 5 days per week. As of this post, I have published 261 blog entries. That’s crazy.
But it also makes me praise God’s faithfulness for helping me push through and stick with it. Blogging 5 days a week is HARD and takes some serious discipline– which is proof that it is only by God’s grace has this ministry grown this much this quickly.
Plus, I certainly couldn’t have done it without you, my darling readers. Seriously. Your encouragement that you actually read these posts keep me going when the words won’t seem to come any longer.
So today, as a belated birthday celebration, I wanted to share with you links to some of my “best” posts based on comments, page views and my personal bias. 🙂  (Side note: that’s the beauty of being the author– I get to make the rules.)
I invite you to check out the following links and let me know what you think if you missed them the first time around. Or if you have a different favorite post… please leave a comment below letting me know which one it is or  what you enjoy most about this ministry in general.
Even Though…Â My most vulnerable and top viewed blog post of all time… A recount of our miscarriage earlier this year– and how God was faithful through it.
Faith by the Foot A fun and humorous look at my testimony– with a little secret about me revealed.
A Latte Love (Factor of 7)Â Â Sharing some Jesus love with strangers– in the form of Starbucks coffee.
Some Comments on Commenting  One of my “bolder” moments when I share a few thoughts about the importance of blog comments.
Life-as-a-wife survival kit A funny look at marriage, God’s sense of humor and how to survive it all.
Christ in a Cow Pasture My personal favorite story of all time– the day that I lead my dad to Christ– in a Cow Pasture.
Can’t wait to hear what you think… And praise Jesus for a great year of growth and learning together as a virtual family! Thanks for hanging with me over this last year– and here’s to many more to come!
Partyin’ like it’s blog’s birfday,
SGK
