Here at 7 Days Time, I’m all about finding lessons and laugher buried in our everyday experiences.
And while I am not pregnant “every day” of my life (Thank goodness!) it’s been my “everyday” experience for almost the last 10 months. (Did you know that a woman is “technically” pregnant for 10 months, not just 9? #WebOfLies #WhoKnew)
Anyways, as I am eagerly and sometimes less than gracefully anticipating this New Tiny Human to arrive, I have worked on seeking out lessons in this season. Like this one, captured in one of our maternity photos:
Not sure if it meets profound revelations, but I sure had a good time designing the graphic.
And of course, this crazy journey wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of laughter. So this is a post/poem/photo I shared on Facebook recently:
‘Twas a week before our due date,
I feel as big as a house,
My current daily life goal,
To be nice to my kid & my spouse.
Our hospital bags are all packed,
I am sure feeling antsy,
Got a pedi, mani, Lipsense and Lularoe,
To convince myself that I’m fancy.
My dear Mama always said,
Patience is a great virtue,
But if anyone else comments on my hugeness,
You’ve been warned, I may hurt you.
So right now I shall engage,
The “fake-it-til-I-make-it” technique,
Till New Tiny Human makes an appearance,
(Lord willing PLEASE) Some time this week!

PS: Can we just take a moment to celebrate that my pregnant brain was able to rhyme “virtue” and “hurt you?” Seriously. I think I’m going to add it on my resume as one of my greatest life accomplishments.
So for now, I will continue to seek out lessons and laughter in the remaining days of this pregnancy. We appreciate your well-wishes and prayers.
And now, back to my regularly scheduled gestating.
For His Glory,
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” ~Psalm 27:14
