Happy Friday, all! Before we dig into Five Minute Friday with Lisa-Jo, just wanted to let you know that today I am making my debut as a blog contributor for Army Wife Network. (Insert happy dance here.) I would so, so, SO appreciate it if you could swing by and show me a smidge of Jesus love. Click here to read my post on AWN.
So where were we? Oh yeah, Five Minute Friday, the time of the week where we come together as a community, link up and write for five minutes.
Easy peasy, right?
Let’s get to it.
Today’s prompt: SMALL
AND GO!
***
It seems so small. Just a word typed on a page.
It seems so small. Just a single diaper changed for my little one.
It seems so small. Just a quick text to a friend to say “Praying for you today!”
It seems so small. Just an extra two seconds holding my husband’s hand.
It seems so small. Just a wave to a stranger letting them merge in front of you in traffic.
All these actions seem so small. Insignificant. Really almost nothing.
But when these seemingly small acts of love are done in honor of our Most High God, they couldn’t be bigger.
With each moment, blip, quip of love, we are bringing the kingdom of heaven to earth. While it seems small, it’s not. It’s huge. It’s life-changing. With God’s help, we have the monumental opportunity to alter someone’s eternity… For the better.
Dear friends, I challenge you today to do something that seems small– but do it with God in mind. Serve. Love. Give. Encourage. Pray.
When done individually, they seem so small.
But with God at the heart of our everything, these acts are bigger than our hearts can grasp and minds can imagine.
When God is involved, our love is huge.
It’s not so small anymore.
STOP!

Thanks a ton for stopping by! I always welcome your feedback… Leave a comment here and share what not-so-small act of love you will be doing today. Also, if you are looking for additional online community, check out our #EverydayJesus link up every Thursday. (There is one in progress as we speak… Get connected here.)
May your weekend be blessed… In big AND small ways.
Living large in Christ,
“‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’” ~Matthew 25:21 NIV
