Looking for the Lost

Hi peeps! It’s Friday– more specifically, it’s FIVE MINUTE FRIDAY.

Here’s the scoop: Each week, I link up with Lisa-Jo Baker. She gives us a prompt. Then we write. For five minutes flat. No over thinking, no editing.

(Not only is it a great writing exercise, but it is a great way for this preggo to get her brain chugging without the assistance of caffeine.)
Five Minute Friday

Let’s get this part-ay started.

Todays Prompt: LOOK

And GO!

*********************

“Honey… Where’s my (wallet/phone/keys/book/etc?)

SIGH.

“Um, where’s the last place you left it? Did you look there?”

“Good call. Found it.”

This is a typical conversation in the Knobloch household. God bless my husband, but (in his words, not mine) he would lose his head if it wasn’t attached. Anytime we go somewhere, we have to allow what I lovingly like to call a “Find-it-buffer.” We spend quite a bit of time looking for stuff he has “lost” (turns out they are usually in a pretty obvious place or simply left in the last place he had it.)

We spend a lot of time looking for the lost… the lost sock, lost wallet, lost meatloaf in the back of the fridge … But in our walk with Christ, we also should be spending time looking for His lost people.

God shares with us several parables in the Bible about looking for the lost: The Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin, you know the drill.

We can do this by keeping our eyes open as we go about our day. We can look for the lost by loving on all we come into contact with. We can look for the lost by praying for eyes to see and ears to here.

Why should we do this? Well, I don’t know about you… but I once was lost… but Jesus looked for me, sought me out and brought me back to Him. Can’t we help Him do the same with others? Because there is no greater love than helping Christ look for (and find!) His lost little sheep.

STOP!

So… What did ya think? Any thoughts on looking for the lost? Holler below.

Have a great weekend… Be blessed!
