7 Days Time

You might be wondering: “Sharita, why did you pick the name ’7 Days Time?’”

Answer: Because God told me to. Wow. That was easy. Thanks for stopping by.

But seriously… God really did give me this inspiration because let me tell you dear reader, if it wasn’t divine inspiration, I would not have chosen anything with a number in the title. Not a big fan of numbers. Or math. Or anything that requires non-writing precision.

In fact, I didn’t even like the number 7. My favorite number was 8. But fortunately… 7 has grown on me. Kind of a lot.

In addition to divine inspiration, the number 7 is significant in the Bible. I did a little bit of research, and in all of the versions of the Bible I could find, the number 7 (or some form of it: 17, 77, 700 etc) was used no less than 400 times. In fact,the smallest number that 7 is used I found was 431 times in the Holman Christian Standard Bible. Some form of the number 7 is used 601 times in the New King James Version.

Huh. Apparently 7 is a pretty big deal.

One of the reasons that the number 7 is used so frequently throughout the Bible is because it represents perfection. Completeness. Fullness. Fulfillment. Even sanctification. Who knew, right? (Now you have something to talk about at the supper table tonight. You are welcome.)

• When Peter asked how many times he should forgive, Jesus said up to seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:22 NKJV)
• In Revelation, when God’s plan for the world is completed and reaches perfection, “seven” is used over 60 times in the NIV84. Seven heads, churches, crowns, angels, spirits, lamp stands, stars, seals.

Seven is biblically significant. It’s a pretty big deal.

The number 7 is also significant in our everyday lives. We all have 7 days time each week to live. That’s 168 hours. Our time on this earth is fleeting, especially when we live in the light of eternity.

That said,  ”7 Days Time” is meant to empower you…

To embrace a life of following radically in the footsteps of Jesus. To manage your time well. To keep your eyes on heaven. To laugh and rejoice! To encourage. To love others. To give. To hope. To reach for Him.

It’s never too late. Today is happening. NOW.  What are YOU going to do about it?

God made the world in 7 days. Jesus fed thousands with just 7 loaves. There are 7 days time  to love others each week.

We have limited  time on this earth. Let’s spend our days wisely.  Live for Him.
