7 Days Time

You might be wondering: “Sharita, why did you pick the name 7 Days Time?”

Answer: Because God told me to. Wow. That was easy. Thanks for stopping by.

Totally kidding. But seriously. This ministry is fully, totally, completely God inspired and driven. We began blogging about Jesus-y things back in August of 2011, but in February 2012, He urged us to take it deeper.

It’s not a just a blog. It’s a ministry.

We have since expanded (significantly!) and I am blown away daily to watch God work here at 7 Days Time.

But in addition to being God-inspired, there is a lot more behind the name and tagline for this mission.

First, seven is a very significant number in the Bible.  I did a little bit of research, and in all of the versions of the Bible I could find, the number 7 (or some form of it: 17, 77, 700 etc) was used no less than 400 times each. Wow, right? Just a few examples include God creating the heavens and the earth in seven days (Genesis 2:1-3). After seven days of marching,  the walls of Jericho fell.  (Hebrews 11:30). We are told to forgive seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:22 NKJV.) Revelation uses some version of seven over 60 times… Seven heads, churches, crowns, angels, spirits, lamp stands, stars, seals. The list goes on and on. Cool, huh? (Now you have something to talk about at the dinner table tonight.)

Also, the number seven represents completion. Perfection. Wholeness. Fulfillment. Sanctification. Which is what following Christ is all about.

And who can forget… there are seven days in a week. In the grand scheme of things, our time on earth is incredibly brief, so it’s so important to use our time wisely, being good stewards of this gift God has given us and live for Him. Daily.

7 Days Time

The first part of our tagline goes right along with this idea. “Inspired by Son-Rise.” It’s a bit of a play on words (one of my favorite things ever.) Every blog, resource and coaching session here at 7 Days time is inspired by Jesus. He died for us on the cross, but also rose again. He will greet us in heaven and return to earth. If that’s not inspiring, I don’t know what is.

That brings us to the second piece of our tagline: “Living in His Light.” We are on a mission to find Jesus in the everyday. To live in His light and shine His light on everyone who crosses our path. If we only have 7 Days time each week to live, who better to live for than Jesus?

And finally, our key Scripture from Isaiah 60:1. “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” That just makes me want to get up and do… well, something. It’s mean to motivate, encourage, challenge. God’s mercies are new everyday. (Lamentations 3:22-23) It’s NEVER too late to start living in His light.

We are all given 7 Days Time each week. The time is now to arise and shine, experience His glory, live for Jesus walking in His light.

You won’t regret it.
